What We Do

Safe2Thrive delivers practical, evidence-based programmes that help young Zimbabweans build digital resilience. From interactive workshops in schools to advisory services for organisations, we meet communities where they are.

Youth Workshop Series

Our flagship programme is a 3-session workshop series designed for the youth. Delivered in schools, community centres, and youth organisations, each 90-minute session builds progressively taking participants from digital safety foundations to designing their own community impact projects.

Session 1: Digital Safety Foundations

Participants learn to identify online threats like phishing and cyberbullying, understand the permanence of their digital footprint, apply privacy settings on social media, and create strong passwords. Through interactive challenges like “Spot the Scam,” young people develop critical thinking skills using real-world scenarios relevant to their lives in Zimbabwe.

Session 2: Digital Wellbeing & Resilience

Participants assess their own digital habits, identify signs of unhealthy technology use, and learn practical strategies for digital balance. They practise coping techniques for online stress and develop assertive communication skills for navigating difficult digital interactions.

Session 3: Empowerment & Action

The capstone session challenges teams to design a real digital citizenship initiative they can implement within 30 days whether it’s an awareness campaign, a peer education programme, a support initiative, or creative content that spreads positive messages. Participants who complete the series are invited to join the Safe2Thrive Ambassador network.

Community Programmes

Our Safe2Thrive Ambassador programme turns workshop graduates into community leaders. Ambassadors commit to modelling positive digital behaviour, supporting peers facing online challenges, sharing what they’ve learned, and continuing to grow their own digital resilience skills. This peer-to-peer model multiplies our impact far beyond the classroom.
